Faith. Stroke. Recovery. A Life Transformed
by Grace.
I’m a husband, dad, believer, and stroke survivor. I work at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as a Performance Analyst, where I develop tools that turn complex data into clear insight. But the most important part of my life? My faith in Jesus Christ.
In 2021, my life changed in an instant. A massive stroke took away my ability to speak, move freely, and even breathe on my own. I went from tucking in my kids to waking up in the ICU - facing brain surgery, months of recovery, and years of learning how to live again. But God never left. In the silence, He spoke. Through music, Scripture, and moments of stillness, I felt His presence guiding me one step at a time.
Today, I speak not just to share my story - but to share hope. Whether I’m in front of a church, a classroom, or a camera, my message is simple: God is near. He doesn’t just show up in the miracle. He meets us in the mess - in suffering, in questions, in the everyday fight to keep going.
I’m also a proud husband to Jessica, my incredible wife of 14 years. She is my constant support and steady companion. We’re raising two energetic boys - Joshua and Nathaniel - who fill our home with football, laughter, and endless reminders of God’s grace.
This journey has taught me that healing is more than physical. It’s spiritual. Emotional. And deeply relational. My scar isn’t just a reminder of what I’ve endured - it’s proof that I’m still here for a reason.
“My scar isn’t just a reminder of what I’ve been through - it’s proof that God still has a purpose for me.”
I believe your story matters too. If you’re going through something hard - or helping someone who is - I hope my story brings courage, faith, and the gentle reminder that you’re not alone. God is still writing your story.
If this message resonates with you or your community, I’d love to share it in person or virtually. Let’s connect.
