Angels in Sneakers

A heartfelt tribute to Sacred Heart, St. Luke’s, Kadlec, and
the people who helped save my life.

A Life Changed

“You weren’t just professionals—you were angels in sneakers.”

In 2021, my life changed forever—but thanks to the team at Sacred Heart, St. Luke’s, and Kadlec, I'm still here to tell the story.

Four years ago, I suffered a massive stroke and was flown by helicopter to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. I was later transferred to St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Medical Center, where I spent 21 days learning how to walk, talk, and live again. The road was long, but I wasn’t alone.

From emergency care to physical therapy, every single person I met—from nurses and doctors to therapists and staff—treated me not just as a patient, but as a person. You gave me hope. You gave my family hope.

This video is a small tribute to say: thank you. You were the hands and feet of healing in my darkest hour. Truly—angels in sneakers.

If you’re part of Providence, please know that your work matters deeply. You don’t just make a difference—you change lives. You’ve changed mine. If you’d like to learn more about my story or how faith and recovery have shaped my journey, I’d love to hear from you.

With gratitude,

Andrew Neal Jenkins
